Understanding What Cooling Towers Do
Stainless steel cooling towers are used in industrial applications that include power generation, food processing and petroleum refining. These facilities use water to cool their equipment, which means large quantities of water absorb heat and must be cooled to be used again for the most efficient operation.
The towers spray heated water through them to help the water evaporate and release heat into the surrounding air. When the water cools, it condenses at the bottom of the tower and pumps back into the plant to be used once more. These systems require less energy and take less space than HVAC equipment, making them a good choice for large-scale operations.
